Company History

April 1887 Launched an initiative under the name of Naniwa Printing Factory, and started manufacturing/selling type printing business.
April 1935 Goichi Sakamoto changed the company name into Sakamoto Koubun Co. Ltd.
July 1941 Started manufacturing large-sized-type machinery, and delivered it to the Asahi Shinbun Company and Mainichi Shinbun Company. Started selling used rotary presses domestically and internationally.
July 1945 Merged with Hashiguchi Ironworks, the company name was changed to O.I.K (Osaka insatsukikai seisakusyo Co., Ltd.) Started manufacturing/selling small-sized letterpress printing rotary presses.
April 1955 As the O.I.K (Osaka insatsukikai seisakusyo Co., Ltd.)a Nihon Shimbun building is new in the place.
April 1963 Established a trading relationship with a newspaper company in South Korea.
December 1984 Motoharu Sakamoto, became president. Since then, we have started selling and installing, repairing/ maintaining offset rotary presses and selling optional parts, blankets and parts for individual companies.
November 2003 Kazuo Sakamoto, the current president, succeeded to the position.
November 2004 Built the new office. Moved to Kujo-minami in Nishi-ku from Awaza
December 2008 Authorized by Osaka Prefectural Public Safety Commission as a machine tool dealer
September 2012 Due to expansion of the factory, we moved to the current office location.
June 2017 Due to expansion of the factory, we moved to the current office location.
January 2021 Kazuo Noguchi, the current president, succeeded to the position.
